The Classic Colonial
Beverly Hills, California
A thoughtful update to a family home. A space of gathering and relaxation. We updated this communal space with a beautiful hand-carved solid wood fireplace in gently veined, honed Nero Marquina marble. The request was for a sitting space to play a weekly game of mahjong with friends and enjoy a glass of wine by the fire, or to relax, sit back and watch a film in the adjacent space. We elevated this space, took it back to the bones and brought history back into it.
Where we landed, and what we started with (final two images).
