CIËN IS A FULL SERVICE, RESIDENTIAL INTERIOR DESIGN ATELIER BASED OUT OF LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA.

From full-scale remodels to select room re-designs, every project is nurtured with the same level of care and consideration. We guide clients through the complete design process — from early concepts and floor plans to finish selection, materials, furniture, and final décor.

We thrive in creative partnership with our clients, listening closely to how they live and envisioning spaces that feel both elevated and effortless. Our work blends Modern-Traditional design with Rustic European character and the relaxed warmth of a California Classic home.

We have had the pleasure of completing projects throughout Los Angeles —

including Pacific Palisades, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Culver City, the Hollywood Hills, Silver Lake, Topanga Canyon, Glendale, Santa Monica, Woodland Hills, and Palos Verdes —

with current projects underway in Pacific Palisades, Anaheim, and Orlando, Florida.

Jessie has been a Palisadian resident for over thirty years, with her heart deeply rooted in rebuilding and supporting her beloved community. In the wake of the recent fires, CIËN has helped restore a cherished family home — as well as Jessie’s own childhood home — and hopes to do the same for many more neighbors as they begin the process of rebuilding the beloved spaces we once called home.

Jessie Tate is the founder of CIËN, a Los Angeles–based interior design studio shaped by her life across Los Angeles, Sydney, New York, and London. These cities, especially her years in London, strengthened her appreciation for European architecture, history, and the quiet stories held within well-loved spaces — influences that continue to guide her work.

Before establishing CIËN five years ago, Jessie worked across fashion, prop styling, and interior styling. Together, these experiences developed her eye for texture, proportion, and craftsmanship, forming the foundation of her thoughtful and intuitive approach to design.

Jessie’s aesthetic blends European classicism with the relaxed warmth of California living. She gravitates toward natural materials, layered textures, and a gentle, harmonious palette — creating interiors that feel refined, comfortable, and enduring. Her work often weaves together timeless pieces with contemporary elements, resulting in spaces that feel collected, grounded, and deeply livable.

CIËN thrives in the design-build arena, where Jessie works closely with architects, contractors, and trades throughout the construction process. She values collaboration and clarity, ensuring that each detail—from early planning to final installation—supports a cohesive and well-executed vision.

Above all, Jessie’s work is guided by an appreciation for craftsmanship, history, and the way a home quietly shapes everyday life. She aims to create spaces that feel personal, welcoming, and thoughtfully made — places that will be lived in and loved for years to come.
